Deluxe 180-gram vinyl reissue
Further proof that 1971 could very well have been the best year ever for pop music is Gene Clark's self-titled LP (often referred to as White Light). Following his 1966 departure from The Byrds, as well as a release with the Gosdin Brothers and two with Doug Dillard as Dillard & Clark, Gene cut White Light with guitarist/producer Jesse Ed Davis, Burrito Brother Chris Ethridge and pianist Ben Sidran (then of the Steve Miller Band). This album is a country-rock classic featuring eight Clark originals and a stellar cover of the Dylan/Band cut "Tears Of Rage."
