March 1963 session previously unreleased in its entirety as an album until now!
Remastered by Kevin Gray and Steve Hoffman from the original Rudy Van Gelder Blue Note master tapes!
The music collected on Hank Mobley Quintet's The Feelin's Good was originally recorded during a single session in March 1963 and then inexplicably shelved. "Old World, New Imports" and "Up a Step" were issued on 1963's No Room For Squares while "East of the Village" and "The Good Life" were included on 1965's The Turnaround!
The remaining two tracks, "The Feelin's Good" and "Yes Indeed," were not released until after Mobley's death in 1986 as part of the compilation Straight No Filter. For the very first time, this session, which also features front line legends Donald Byrd and Herbie Hancock, will exist as a complete album courtesy of Music Matters!
