Part of the Ten Bands One Cause Breast Cancer Awareness promotion by RED Distribution
In support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October 2015, RED is releasing 10 titles on pink vinyl
Releases will be limited to a one-time pressing
Last year during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, RED along with its account, artist and label partners raised nearly $30,000 for Gilda's Club NYC by contributing proceeds from selling pink vinyl one-time only pressings of popular albums by 10 recording artists.
In 2015, a new crop of artists and labels are joining the effort to grow the campaign and surpass last year's total. Gilda's Club was founded in 1995 in memory of the Saturday Night Live comedian Gilda Radner, who died from breast cancer. The club's mission is to provide support for women and men who are diagnosed with cancer, their caregivers and those who have lost relatives and friends to the disease. The club provides networking resources, educational lectures, workshops and social activities, free of charge.
Run The Jewels, Sturgill Simpson, Joey Bada$$, Al Green (the first pressing of The Belle Album in 30 years), Between The Buried & Me, Chet Faker, Pierce The Veil, Primus (25th anniversary of Frizzle Fry this year!), Clutch (a brand new album specifically for this campaign) and Ingrid Michaelson combine for nearly 20 million album sales in the US, around 8 million Facebook followers, 2, million Twitter followers and more. They will release their pink vinyl titles on September 29th 2015. These releases will be limited to a one-time pressing.
These bands and their record labels will be messaging out to their fans and potential customers the opportunity to support this great cause. Each will have the Ten Bands One Cause marketing sticker attached to these special pink edition albums.
The Ten Bands One Cause class of 2014 included Against Me, Courtney Barnett, Jason Isbell, Kellie Pickler, Lucius, Nothing, St. Paul & The Broken Bones, Me First & The Gimme Gimmes, Temples and In This Moment.
