The Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, led by Wynton Marsalis, is made up of 15 of the finest soloists, ensemble players and arrangers in jazz music today. Its mission is to entertain, enrich and expand a global community for jazz through performance, education and advocacy. Somewhat incredibly, JLCO started as a summer concert series at the Center in 1987; its phenomenal success is outer-worldly and eventually led to the opening the world’s first venue designed specifically for jazz in 2004. JLCO has celebrated jazz and these monumental landmarks with an ever-growing audience of jazz fans from around the world. This unique holiday program combines the talents of JLCO with those of Mr. Denzal Sinclaire, a pianist/singer of subtle skill and with a relaxed and sophisticated approach to songs.
