Originally released in 1981 at the height of Thatcherism and in the midst of economic turmoil, it articulated a barely-concealed ideological fury that has rarely been matched for its passion, yet by turns it also provided a tender meditation on the natural world. This remarkable double act went on to be named Folk Album of the Decade by Roots magazine. The album has been remastered from the original analog masters by Sean Magee at Abbey Road and pressed on 200-gram vinyl. It contains a candid and entertaining new interview with Gaughan about the making of the album in which he dismisses it as "nothing special." There are fresh portraits of Gaughan, as well as archival photo outtakes from the Handful Of Earth sessions. Limited edition of 1,000.
