Willie Nelson is a musical phenomenon and an American icon. His legendary musical career began in the 50's, followed with a plethora of hit songs written for the likes of Ray Price, Patsy Cline and Roy Orbison, and then his own six decade-long recording career in the country, rock, pop, adult, and even jazz genres, sharing his legendary vocal, guitar and songwriting persona for millions of fans worldwide.

With 1979's Pretty Paper LP, Willie Nelson teams up with another superstar producer/keyboardist Booker T. Jones (Booker T. & The MG's) creating one of the most successful holiday top charting hit albums of all time. The LP features Willie's stellar interpretations of both popular and inspirational favorites like definitive hit versions of his self-penned melancholy smash title track "Pretty Paper," plus traditionals such as "Winter Wonderland," "Blue Christmas" and "White Christmas." His impressive readings of spirit-filled favorites such as "Silent Night, Holy Night" and "O Little Town Of Bethlehem" truly made the Pretty Paper LP a groundbreaking effort for this legendary artist.

This fine album has been out of print for decades on vinyl, and it is our honor to announce the first time 180-gram vinyl presentation of Pretty Paper by the legendary Willie Nelson on Friday Music. This limited edition audiophile masterpiece is now impeccably mastered by Joe Reagoso and also for a very limited time is pressed by RTI on translucent blue vinyl for the holidays, and features from the original LP artwork not seen in years, in a first-time gatefold presentation. Features full-color photos of Willie Nelson from the Columbia Records archives.
