Numbered 180-gram edition limited to 5,000 copies
When Canadian singer Loreena McKennitt released her recording, The Wind that Shakes the Barley, in 2010, she visited several countries to help promote the album. During the "promotional tour" she performed an hour long concert in the studios of German radio station SWR1, accompanied only by Brian Hughes (guitars), Caroline Lavelle (cello), who have long been part of Loreena's tours and recordings.
Songs performed by McKennitt here include those off The Wind That Shakes The Barley alongside a selection of favorites drawn from across her catalog of nine studio albums such as "The Lady of Shalott," "Bonny Portmore" and "The Bonny Swans." Mastered for vinyl by Jeff Wolpert, Troubadours On The Rhine will be available in March 2016 in an individually numbered limited edition of just 5,000 copies pressed on 180-gram vinyl at the Record Industry plant in the Netherlands.
