180-gram vinyl
After John Foxx left Ultravox in 1979 after their final San Francisco gig, the band seemed over, but Midge Ure joining the band saw a dramatic shift from the darker, guitar based sounds of the Foxx era to new brighter synth based sound and the choice of German maestro Conny Plank as producer proved a masterstroke. This new sound, and with Billy Curries' violin playing now integral to the arrangements, saw a band reborn, re-energized and the single "Vienna" remains to this day a truely timeless classic.
