Numbered edition limited to 1,000 copies
1960s recordings discovered of this hero of British folk music, predating his first album's release
Includes 30 tracks that pre-date Bert's debut album made in 1965; it contains two folk club concerts, a brief living room session and early versions of songs that would end up on later albums. The earliest live recordings yet discovered of this hero of British folk include Bert originals, blues and folk covers recorded between 1962 and 1964 by schoolboy Frank Coia.
Now on vinyl for the very first time, these tracks are an important document of early live appearances by a mercurial talent, and Stamford Audio has launched a special label to enable the songs to be heard on luscious vinyl. This is the first release on the Stamford Audio Heritage label, aiming to represent recordings of historical significance on vinyl. It will be strictly limited to 1,000 hand-numbered copies and will not be repressed.
